Letter from Our Pastor
Dear Friends,
From
a humble beginning with a few members, our church has now grown to over 600
with our ministry touching nearly 3,000 lives. We are dedicated to reach out to
the thousands of Southern Asian immigrants who now call me country their
home. They have brought with them their beliefs in Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism,
Sikhism, Jainism, and other Eastern religions and have built their own places
of worship. It is time now, more than ever, for us to tell them of the love of
Jesus.
The rented facility that we worship in now has become too
overcrowded for us to fulfill our mission to evangelize non-Christian Southern
Asians in our community. Every Sabbath our parking lot is filled to capacity,
our sanctuary is bursting at the seams, and we are in desperate need of a new
facility.
To meet me great challenge, our church members have
sacrificially given nearly $3 million which has been used to purchase and
develop a wonderful property near the Seventh-day Adventist World Headquarters
in Silver Spring, Maryland. Our urgent need is to build a church and
evangelistic center to enable us to reach out to the Southern Asians in our
community. It will cost an additional $5 million to finish me church
building.
Please join us in me great venture for the Lord. It does not
matter how small your gift. Our God, who multiplied five loaves and two fishes
to feed 5,000, will surely bless and multiply your gift to meet our need of $5
million.
Thank you in advance for your support. May the joy of the Lord
be your strength.
Yours in the Blessed Hope,
Franklin G. David
